Name: Tony Jones

Current Career: Building Engineer with HPI at Indeed Domain

AAFAME Position: I am on the Communications Committee

Family Life: I’m originally from New Orleans and moved here after Hurricane Katrina. I have a beautiful wife, a 1-year old son, an 11-year-old daughter, and my wife is currently 11 weeks pregnant. The rest of my family lives in Mississippi and Louisiana.

Past Jobs: I started out as a Supervisor for the New Orleans school board in the custodial department. I also worked as an Electrician at FSG Electric and now I am a Building Engineer at HPI.

Professional Aspirations: My wife and I are working on getting into Real Estate flipping and selling houses. I want to leave something behind for my children so that they can explore entrepreneur options. We also have a photo booth business.

What do you want to be when you grow up: My main goal in life…my main reason for living…is to be a servant to everyone. I know that sounds strange, but I really want to help people.

What do you not like about your boss: I don't like the fact that he is always getting me to eat ice cream when I am trying to lose weight!

Unusual Experiences as a Building Engineer: This is not unusual in a bad way, but it is unusual for me to deal with tenants directly.

Five Minutes of Fame: In the 5th Grade I was Martin Luther King. I did a morning broadcast on the news in a big theater. I memorized the I Had a Dream Speech, the Mountain Top Speech, and Noble Peace Prize.

Hobbies: Photography and building things. I like buying books from Home Depot and building shelves, cabinets, etc. I like to challenge myself.

Pet Peeves: I don't appreciate people that put out hate another person. That is my biggest pet peeve because I love people so much.

What would you change: I would go back to Adam and Eve in the garden. If it were up to me, they wouldn't eat that forbidden fruit so that we can live happily ever after.

What is your 2020 Goals: To be a home owner and to know how to operate all the equipment in my building in and out.

Favorite Thing About AAFAME: AAFAME helps people. I like how you can find people to help people and bring them all together. For example, the community service committee.

Give anyone a shout out: I want to give a shout out to Sara Camp. I think our meeting at our communications meeting was my first time interacting with her. She has an uplifting spirit that I recognized from the very beginning.
