Name: Conner Smith

What is your current career? I am Lead Engineer with Endeavor
 
What committees are you involved in? The Communications & Community Services Committee

What are your Past Jobs? I have worked for Aspen, Stream, CBRE, Hilton, Master Electrician. Been there done that got the T Shirt!

Do you have professional aspirations? My professional aspiration is teaching for BOMA.

What do you want to be when you grow up? Explain Grow up……it's a relative term. I really want to be teacher. I want to help the next generation for Building Engineers understand the full scope of their position and hone their trouble shooting skills.

Do you have an unusual experience as a building engineer? Chasing a skunk’s smell! We think he came through a pipe from the retention pond into the building. We never found him.

What was your five minutes of fame? When a woman named Jody Reibeling saw me out of her peripheral vision. I won the lottery when I met that lady. Married for 30 years and looking forward to the next 30 years with her.
 
What are your hobbies? Photography, throwing horseshoes, and bee keeping.
 
Do you have Pet Peeves? Kelvin Temperature. All the lights being the same temperature. Mixed lighting just drives me nuts.

If there is anything you can change, what would it be? To bring peace to our world.

Do you have a favorite quote, saying or song?  I have 3 favorite quotes!

Favorite Song: Star- Spangled Banner- Jimi Hendrix and yes, I was there July 3-5 1970 in a field in Byron, Georgia. The Atlanta International Pop Festival: Three days of peace, love and music.

What is your favorite thing about AAFAME? Some of the best relationships you make are in college and in the Military. The relationships I have built in AAFAME are very similar with those.

Fun Fact: I have been a member since back when AAFAME was called TACOE (Texas Association of Chief Operating Engineers)!
