Incentive Program

FREE DUES & LUNCHEONS FOR 2026


AAFAME offers the following incentive program for those engineer members that volunteer & participate. This program will allow for engineers to get their dues & events for free (value of $985) if they meet the following criteria during 2025:

  • Attend a minimum of 6 COMMITTEE MEETINGS
    • You may need to serve on more than one committee to meet this goal
    • NEW:  Incentive committee meetings DO NOT count towards the 6 meetings.
    • *Please note that in order to get credit for committee meetings held via zoom, you must have your video camera on
  • Attend a minimum of 6 EVENTS
    • To include luncheons, training classes above the 2 required below, building tours, professional series above the 1 required below, Engineer Appreciation, Vendor EXPO & Holiday luncheon.
    • In 2024 we held 24 events total - to give perspective on how it can be completed with a little planning.  A person would need to attend approximately 30% of our events to complete program.
    • *Please note Chili Slam attendance does not count toward events - instead you can volunteer to fulfill the volunteer hours listed below.
  • Attend a minimum of 2 TRAINING CLASSES
    • To gain knowledge related to building maintenance
    • Classes are held monthly in locations around Austin
    • Attend more than 2 Training Classes and the additional will count towards 6 event requirement listed above
    • Attend at least 1 PROFESSIONAL SERIES
      • The Professional Series workshops are to gain Leadership Development training
      • Typically have up to 4 per year
      • Attend more than 1 Professional Series and the additional will count towards 6 event requirement listed above
    • Complete a minimum of 12 VOLUNTEER HOURS
      • Examples of Volunteer Hours:
      • Community Service Projects held every other month  (will have both weekday and weekend opportunities)
      • Activities include:  building ramps, staging Veterans parade, painting houses, sorting food, landscaping, carpentry, registration desk and more!
      • Significant amount of hours can be achieved by volunteering at Chili Slam, Adventure Fest & Vendor EXPO (before & during event)
      • *Please note at least 1 volunteer opportunity must be a Community Services Event

    ** MEMBERS ACCOUNT MUST BE CURRENT FOR DUES AND EVENT PAYMENTS TO RECEIVE INCENTIVE PAYOUT AND BENEFITS THE FOLLOWING YEAR.

    The engineer members that meet the above criteria not only get free dues & luncheons next year, but will also be entered into a drawing to win the following prizes:

    • 1 winner will receive $1,000
    • 1 winner will receive $500
    • All others who completed the program will receive $200
    • Drawing to be held in early 2026


    If you completed last year's program, you do not need to sign up again unless you are changing or updating committees.
