Member Spotlight: Ron Tuttle with HPI

What is your current career? I am the Chief Engineer at The Summit at Lantana for Hill Partners Investment and Real Estate Services (HPI).

What committees are you involved in? Not only am I the President of AAFAME this year, I am also heavily involved in Adventure Fest, Membership, Incentive and Training Committees.

What is the most interesting job you have had? I’ve been a dish washer, cook at Long John Silvers and Pizza Inn, a host of Construction positions and Building Engineer. I think the Building Engineer position is the most interesting.

Do you have professional aspirations? Yes, retire well.

What do you want to do when you grow up? I want to be an Archaeologist. I love to dig in the dirt.

If your company had a theme song what would it be? We are Family.

What are your Five Minutes of Fame? I met Dale Earnhardt several years ago, shook his hand and got his autograph. When I was a kid (yesterday) I wanted to be a race car driver, like Richard Petty.

What are your hobbies? Hiking, Boating, and Camping.

Do you have pet peeves? You bet! Cutter People, especially when driving. Get in line at the back of the line, that is where the rest of us started. 😊

If you could change anything, what would it be? Replace hatred with Love.

Do you have a favorite quote, saying or song? Lord please help me be the kind of Man my dog thinks I am.

One of your goals for this year? 1st and foremost on my mind, is how to get more Property Management Companies onboard the AAFAME Bandwagon. In short, we need to strategize on how AAFAME can increase “buy-in” on the Corporate Level, as well as with the Property Managers. At HPI it is a push from the top down, HPI Corporate sees the value AAFAME builds in their Techs. We need to spread the love.

Your favorite thing about AAFAME? Camaraderie. I was impressed from the first time that I came to an AAFAME event at how people working for so many property management companies that would seemingly be seen as competitors, were willing and openly sharing ideas and are involved outside of work volunteering as one big Family. I have always been impressed by that facet of AAFAME Techs, Property Managers, Property Management Companies and Vendors.
